Jeff Price ties the Div 9 record by
successfully running 8 races this past weekend at CatFest. Yes, folks,
there was wind - both days! Great job as usual guys.
Columbia Sailing Club is hosting their
annual Outback Cup, September 28-29th in Columbia South Carolina.
Friday night margarita party with heavy hor'deurves, Saturday night filet
mignon by Outback Steakhouse, Fosters Beer all weekend. This is the first
time Columbia Sailing Club has sponsored, or let catamarans participate in
their event, and we (SEACATS) want a good showing.

The latest rule book updated 20th July 2002
is now ready for download. It includes the interim rules for the Hobie
Tiger and Hobie 18. Also included are the FX-One rules.

AntieauArt have succesfully finished the 2002 Worrell 1000!
Nigel Pitt, sailing with Alex Shafer of Div 11 placed 4th
overall with an overall time of 72:41:44, just 01:08:49 behind
the first place finishers.
David Lennard sailing with Carl Roberts finished in 8th
place with an overall time of 76:24:22, and just 04:51:27 out of first
place.
Hope to see you guys back on the race courses in Div 9 soon.

The Rules Committee was asked by the IHCA 2001 AGM to reply to the H14/H16
upgrades proposed by the European Region. The Rules Committee has reviewed
the proposals and judged them on their technical merits only. The Rules
Committee will generally make no recommendations on what way to go with
the upgrades. It shall be up to the sailors through their regions to
discuss and make unprejudiced decisions.

US Sailing Small Boat Instructors Class on Catamarans Offered-
Nor'Banks Sailing in Duck is offering a US Sailing Small Boat Instructors
Class on Catamarans May 31-June 3. It will be one of the only classes done
on Cats and it will be on Getaways and 16's. If any of you are interested
